About the Author

Hi! I’m Garima. I’m super passionate about Economics and I love to discuss its practical applications.

This blog is an attempt to simplify economics and make it accessible to all. I try and explain various concepts of economics in simple terms. The posts are short and crisp to save you time. The idea behind this blog is that economics, which impacts all of us alike, should reach all as well, whether one is a student of economics or not.

A bit more about me – I have worked as an economist in both research and consulting environments, covering a number of areas such as international trade, international economics, global value chains, infrastructure development, employment, skill development and gender. In the last few years, I have written extensively in academic journals, authored book chapters and newspaper articles.

I’m a Ph.D. graduate from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), a premier economic research institute established by the Reserve Bank of India. I’m also a member of the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab. Currently I work as an Economist for a multilateral organisation.
